A Weekend in Nancy

The weekend in Nancy took place back in the middle of February, no sun just grey clouds but at least no rain. We drove from Zurich eventually, found our hotel, dumped our stuff and went exploring.The first 4 photos are of the Place Stanislas which is on UNESCO World Heritage List. It was very impressive to see all the buildings including the Opera and the statue of Stanislas in the middle.





This is Nancy Cathedral in the very interesting part of Nancy it also seems to be good for bars and restaurants.
I liked this small sqaure very much it is next to the cathedral later on that evening we had a drink in a bar very near to here.
One of the gates leading out of the city, if you see the post on Nancy writings many of the words in the post were taken on this street leading up to here.

This is Place de la Carriere which is also on the Heritage list along with Place d`Alliance which I did not take a photo. Just off to the left at the end of the photo is a park which we did not visit, which I am sure is very nice.


The next big trip is in April to Holland we will be based in Amsterdam but will do lots of day trips to different places. Looking forward to that!
