This is about my life in Zurich, all the places I visit, what I get up to with my son and anything I think is good to blog about.

Casa Vicens, Barcelona
Hello everyone, hope you are all somehow coping with these circumstances we are in at the moment. Now that I am at home for a while, I decided to get back in the blogging world, we will see how long it lasts.
Back in early December I went to Barcelona and one of the places I visited was Casa Vicens, this place is just beautiful. Built by Antoni Gaudi, between 1883 and 1885 as a summer home for the Vicens family. It is his first masterpiece, it is simple astounding. The colourful tiles, stained glass windows, doors, and walls are beautiful. It also has a small cafe too. I would recommend a visit to Casa Vicens if you ever go to Barcelona.
As I mentioned above, I am on two weeks holiday. Alessio and I were supposed to be flying to Miami and then going on a cruise. But it looks like we should get it all refunded at some point in time.
To pass the time it looks like I will be reading, watching TV, going for walks by the lake and not much else.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter

Christmas Lights in Barcelona
Barcelona in December, we were there to see a football match, but we enjoyed walking around the city on Friday evening. The Christmas lights were really lovely, to be honest much nicer than in Zurich.
The Christmas markets were really busy, so we did not really hang around, but unlike in other countries, they don't do mulled wine. I do like a mulled wine at a Christmas market.
Now I am officially on holiday for 2 weeks and we will be going to Scotland for some of this time. Anyway enjoy the weekend and any plans you all have.

During school holidays in February I visited Barcelona again, but this time I went with my friend Arlene and my father.
We stayed in an apartment complex called 08028 Apartments and I would recommend this place, it was right next to a metro stop and very, very near to Camp Nou Stadium. This is their site www.08028apartments.com
We just wandered around the city, the port/marina, Poblenou area, the Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and El Born area. Saturday evening we went to see the match FC Barcelona against FC Valladolid, Barca won by 1- 0 and it was a penalty scored by, yes you all know Messi.
On Sunday we went our separate ways, Arlene and I took a long bus trip to Andorra and my father stayed in Barcelona. We got back quite late but still had time for dinner and a catch up on what we all did.
The next day Monday, my father had to leave pretty early, but we could lie in for a bit at least before we headed off to the airport.
The weekend looms very near now and Alessio has a football match and maybe on Sunday we will go for a day trip.
Wishing you all a good mid week
