This is about my life in Zurich, all the places I visit, what I get up to with my son and anything I think is good to blog about.

Postcards from London
For a long time I had wanted to take Alessio to visit London and finally we went last October with my parents. It was a great 6 days and we saw lots of fantastic sights and Alessio had a great time!
We saw lots of the major tourist sights such as Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Kew Gardens, a short boat trip on the Thames, Natural History Museum, Museum of London, St Pauls Cathedral and Portobello. We also went on a day trip to Brighton, which I already wrote a post about it.
I enjoyed it all and it was difficult to pick what to see and as always there is so much more to see and maybe one day we will go back for it won`t be a long time!
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Photo of the Week - Envy!
This was taken in London in Notting Hill last October, it is a nice area been here a few times. It is a great car, it really stands our!
By the time I get to Wednesday evening, I only have to work one more day and then I can start my weekend. It is really nice to not work on Fridays, I am quite lucky!
This weekend I am going to Munich with Arlene, it is the birthday of our friend Janet and we will go out for a meal. We will also catch up with other friends and see a bit of Munich too!
What is everyone else up too this weekend?

Kew Gardens
One of the highlights of our trip to London was visiting Kew Gardens, it is the world`s largest collection of living plants plus it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There was lots to see and do, we mainly walked through the gardens looking at the colourful flowers, interesting plants and lovely autumn trees.
The treetop walkaway was opened in 2008, this was one of the parts that I thought Alessio would enjoy. It is 18m high and 200m long, along the route is information about the trees which Alessio liked to read out loud.
We saw loads of squirrels and they were relatively tame considering how close I got to take photos of these cute animals.
We had our lunch here and Alessio got to play at the playground which was a good one. There are also many different buildings and statues to visit and look at, but the one we wanted to visit was closed for renovation Kew Palace.
We really enjoyed our short visit to Kew Gardens!

London by Night
St.Paul Cathedral
Southbank
Chinatown
SOHO
Looking over my photos I don´t seem to have taken that many, but seeing London at night was really awesome. Even with my camera the photos turned out to be ok, it was great seeing all the amazing sights!
The first evening we wondered around the Southbank, seeing the National Theatre, Oxo Building, the Shard, St Paul`s Cathedral and in the distance the financial district. I was quite excited about seeing these buildings and felt a bit like child.
On Friday evening we wondered around Chinatown and Soho which was as you can imagine very busy. We had dinner in a really great French restaurant called Cote, earlier that evening I had seen Tom Hiddleston and Sienna Miller at the premiere of their movie High-Rise in Leicester Square.
The other evenings we stayed near to our hotel which was in the area of Farringdon, it had lots of great bars and restaurants. Such a great city would be great to go again but not sure when I will be able to visit again.
