This is about my life in Zurich, all the places I visit, what I get up to with my son and anything I think is good to blog about.

P is for Patterns
Another post in the alphabet serie and I am on to the letter P which I had decided a while ago to chose the work patterns. So basically whenever I saw something that looked like a pattern I took a photo, so these photos are all taken in Holland.
The first two in a church in The Hague, then at the beach in Schevenigen, flowers from Keukenhof gardens and finally a bar in Amsterdam!
Next is the letter Q I had been really unsure what to use but now I have a word, enjoy the weekend wherever you are!

Keukenhof Gardens Part 2
The last post on my trip to Holland, and since I had lots of photos from the gardens decided to do two posts. These wonderful gardens are now closed for the year, so you`ll need to plan your visit for next year. There was a large lake and in it these art objects of heads, also stepping stones which as you can imagine Alessio greatly enjoyed. I would not have enjoyed it so much if he had fallen in, as the lake did not look very inviting.
Already it is July and I have 2 trips planned a wedding in the UK and then a family holiday in Menorca. What is everyone else doing for the summer?

Photo of the Week - Euro 2012
Again the photo of the week comes from Holland, back in the Keukenhof gardens, it seems fit to use this photo as on Friday begins the Euro 2012. This year it is held as you can see in Poland and Ukraine, I may try to see a few games. Who do you want to win this time? I was really happy that Spain won, so if they win again that would also be good. Sadly Scotland did not make it this time, nor did Switzerland, but maybe for the next World Cup they will qualify!

Keukenhof Flower Gardens Part 1
The visit to the Keuenhof gardens was one I was extremely looking forward too and I was not disappointed at all. The place was busy of people from all over the world, since it is only open for around 2 months each year you need to plan your visit. The flowers were mostly tuilps of all different kinds and indeed they were just breath-taking to look at. I like the colours of the first photo, they attracted me the most. We went in the windmill and up one floor to get the views of the coloured fields (which I will show later). There was a great playground for kids and the sun did come out in the afternoon. Alessio could not get over how tall some of the flowers grew, he liked to measure himself against the flower.

Photo of the Week - Pink Dream!
Dear Readers, last Monday we visited the wonderful, amazing and beautiful Keukenhof flower gardens in the Netherlands, it is a sight to behold. The colours, designs and smells were out of this world. I took so many photos, that I have to do at least two more posts on the gardens, as the flowers are just brilliant to look at. The place is only open 2 months each year and therefore is always busy, we had a great time, if you can visit this place then do so!
