Z is for Zug

Finally I reached the last letter in the alphabet series, after thinking through what to chose decided to go with the Swiss city of Zug. Around 30 mins from Zurich, it is a lovely place to visit and lots to see and do, such as the castle. Then you can go up the Zugerberg which gives you lovely views of the surrounding mountains and lake, or you can take a boat trip which I have not done yet.

Alessio and I went in February for the afternoon and thankfully the sun was shining, we found a  playground for him to play in. The old town is full of lovely buildings with colourful designs and paintings, and some interesting shop signs which I did a post on before.

Y is for Yellow

Spring is in the air at last! After a mixture of warmth, cold and snow, hopefully now it will start to become warmer. Well at least no snow, please!

Y is for yellow, it seems a good word to choose, spring colour! The first photo is in Wan Chai area in HK, there was also a blue and orange building. It was a very interesting street to walk along and explore, the mini was also found in that area.

The third photo was taken on Lake Zug back in mid February, the fourth and fifth photos are from the walk Alessio and I did from Forch to Meilen. The last is quite obvious, my favorite flowers, Tulips.

W is for Water

The next letter is W and water seemed like a good word to choose, I have lots of photos with water in them, from lakes, rivers, waterfalls, streams to seas.

The first photo is from Zurich, then we are off to the Isle of Skye, then it is the famous water jet in Geneva, then Lake Brienz and finally Lake Lugano.

V is for Views

Finally getting to the end of the alphabet series, now onto the letter V and what better word than views. I have seen lots of wonderful views and was hard to pick only five on them, so here goes!

The first photo is of Lake Zug, then we have the city of Zurich from the Uetliberg, then it is Lake Gruyeres from the castle, then the beautiful city of Mahon in Menorca and finally Mont Blanc from Chamonix!

T is for Trees

Not long now until the letter series is finished, so on to the letter T for trees. Starting with the 1st photo this was taken on a hike in Chamnoix area, then back in Switzerland at the Seleger gardens, the 3rd photo is in Scotland in Scone Palace gardens, the 4th at Jucker Farm and finally at the beginning of December in my back garden.

S is for Shadows

It has been a while since I did a post on the alphabet series, so here is the letter S. The first 3 photos are taken in the forest and the last one was in Holland at the beach resort of Scheveningen, we were there in April this year. At least the last photo brings a bit of colour to the post!

R is for Roses

Just about to head off to Scotland for a while, so time to do a quick post in the alphabet series. I am at the letter R and thought I would chose roses for this letter. The first photo are roses bought my mother when she was over here, they lasted for ages. The next two photos are from my garden and the last is from a walk I did with the kids from work, on the Au penisula.

Q is for Queen

While looking through my photos I saw this one that I took while in the town next to Sherwood Forest and thought that this would be good to use in the alphabet series. I needed a word for the letter Q and when I saw the photo I thought now I have found my word! Since the letter Q is not easy to find I am glad I took this photo!

We are all back from a long weekend in Chamonix, the posts will follow soonish!!

P is for Patterns

Another post in the alphabet serie and I am on to the letter P which I had decided a while ago to chose the work patterns. So basically whenever I saw something that looked like a pattern I took a photo, so these photos are all taken in Holland.

The first two in a church in The Hague, then at the beach in Schevenigen, flowers from Keukenhof gardens and finally a bar in Amsterdam!

Next is the letter Q I had been really unsure what to use but now I have a word, enjoy the weekend wherever you are!

O is for Orange

I nearly forgot about this letter for some reason anyway the letter O is for the colour orange. The first two photos are taken in my home, then the next four are from Holland. The last one is from the Keukenhof gardens with my mother and Miffy a famous rabbit from Holland from the artist Dick Bruna! We had thought about visiting the museum in Utrecht but Alessio was feeling sick then so we had to cut short our trip that day!
Summer holidays are here and I am off to England for a wedding this weekend, photos to follow!!

N is for Nature

The next letter in the alphabet is N and I thought Nature was a good idea for this letter, I picked only a few photos as I could have really gone to town. This weekend coming I will be off to Lugano and then on Sunday I go on the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur, so lots of nature this weekend.
