Swiss Miniature - Melide

Around two weeks ago Alessio and I went by train to the Ticino to Melide to visit Swiss Miniature. There was a SBB special and I got a ticket for only 49ch including the entrance which was really good value. I cannot remember all the buildings but some stick in my mind. This might be Berne Cathedral but am not sure anymore! This is definitely in Berne!

The Glacier Express which runs from Zermatt to Davos or St.Mortiz, in June I will go on the Bernina Express which runs from Chur to Tirano in Italy.
This is maybe Titlis mountain.
The Red Cross headquartiers in Geneva.
William Tell`s chapel!
I think this is Murten near to Berne.

So did not really know that many of the places, but it did make me want to visit more places in Switzerland though. It is worth a visit but as a day trip from Zurich it is a bit far, it is best to include in a weekend trip or a longer holiday. Melide is very near to Lugano it was only two trains stops away and the entrance is less than 10mins away from train station.

  1. Those are incredible! I can see how it would make you want to visit other places.
