Au Pensiula
This post is just some of the many photos I take but I have put them on Instagram, well most anyway.
They were taken in the months of March and April.

The flowers are from this Tuesday and at a park in Wädenswil where we went with the kids from work to visit a playground.

Four are taken in Zurich at different times, I do like the big wheel one in particular.

Three are taken on walks to the Au peninsula, usually when we go on walks with the kids from work we come here. It is a wonderful area to walk in.

The plane one was taken right outside my work on an early Wednesday morning, the sky was much more pink looking than it does in the photo.

Alessio has already been just over one week into his Spring school holidays and now I am on holiday and we will be going to Scotland.

The last time we were in Scotland was Christmas 2017, so I am really looking forward to see my family and do some trips too.

Enjoy the weekend

Charlie Chaplin House and Museum, Vevey

During the February holidays Alessio and I went to visit the Charlie Chaplin House and Museum, which is situated in Vevey.

To be quite honest I did not know hardly anything about Charlie Chaplin except his movies and that he was married quite a few times. But this was remedied and I learnt quite a lot about him.

Charlie Chaplin moved to Switzerland in 1953 and stayed until 1977 when he died. He lived in a large house overlooking Lake Geneva in Vevey. He lived with his wife Oona O`Neil and they had 8 children.

The house is lovely and you see the furnishing, ornaments, pictures and photos from the family. Each room has written information about what you can see. The views of the garden are very nice too, we also walked around them too.

Once you have visited the house, there is a short movie about his life and then you go to the museum part. In the museum it is all about his life as an actor and his movies. There is lots to take in and read, and you can see things from his movies.

We both really enjoyed the visit and would recommend it, even if you don't know much about him and his life. You can buy tickets online and it saves you a bit of money and time. You can take a bus to the house/ museum and the stop it right at the gate.

Wishing you all a fab Easter break

A Long Weekend in Bratislava, Slovakia

It is nearly the middle of April and I have not posted at all this month, so here are the photos from our   long weekend in Bratislava.

From Zurich you cannot fly direct so we flew to Vienna and from the airport there are buses that go to Bratislava, it takes one hour.

After we had checked into the hotel we wandered around the old part of the city. Our hotel was walking 15mins tops from the old part or three tram stops.

The old part of the city is lovely and we just enjoyed walking around looking at the buildings, shops and of course checking out restaurants.

We did not actually visit anything, except to go up to the observation deck of the UFO which is as the name suggests somewhat resembles an UFO. It is situated on the SNP bridge and is 95 meters high and with fantastic views of the city.

The most beautiful church in the city has to be the Blue church. As you see from my photo, it is rather amazing, but sadly we could not go inside.  In fact there are rather a lot of churches in this city and we only saw them from outside.

It was a lovely weekend and if you have the chance to visit Bratislava, then do.

The weekend is upon us and Alessio has a football match and I will go to see the film The Aftermath. Otherwise not much will be happening.

Wishing you all a great weekend
