This is about my life in Zurich, all the places I visit, what I get up to with my son and anything I think is good to blog about.

Casa Vicens, Barcelona
Hello everyone, hope you are all somehow coping with these circumstances we are in at the moment. Now that I am at home for a while, I decided to get back in the blogging world, we will see how long it lasts.
Back in early December I went to Barcelona and one of the places I visited was Casa Vicens, this place is just beautiful. Built by Antoni Gaudi, between 1883 and 1885 as a summer home for the Vicens family. It is his first masterpiece, it is simple astounding. The colourful tiles, stained glass windows, doors, and walls are beautiful. It also has a small cafe too. I would recommend a visit to Casa Vicens if you ever go to Barcelona.
As I mentioned above, I am on two weeks holiday. Alessio and I were supposed to be flying to Miami and then going on a cruise. But it looks like we should get it all refunded at some point in time.
To pass the time it looks like I will be reading, watching TV, going for walks by the lake and not much else.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter

Berlin at Night
It has been over a month since I last posted anything on here and it hasn't been because I have nothing to blog about, mainly I have not been very interested in posting. February has passed rather slowly and during the school holidays Alessio and I went to Berlin.
It was the first time for Alessio and I think he enjoyed it, hard to tell these days. We did lots of walking as usual and as usual I took lots of photos. I wish I had taken more of Berlin at night, but I like the ones I took.
I enjoyed seeing the East Side Gallery and will show the different murals, on another post. They were all very interesting.
Well that is it for now, next weekend I am going to London, to see my sister and mother. We have planned lots of things to do and see. This was our mother`s 70th birthday present. We planned it all has a surprise and she was quite happy with it.
Have a great weekend

Last summer I visited Rome with my friend Arlene and it was my fourth visit to the city. Suffice to say it is the last time I will go there in the summer. Yes I knew it would be hot but it seemed to be hotter than usual.
We saw the outside of the Colosseum, we walked by the Roman Forum, saw the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, Piazza Novona, Piazza del Popolo, Borghese Gallery and Museum and Campidoglo. This was lots of walking and stopping for refreshments.
My next trip will be to Berlin in February, which I am looking forward to, Alessio hasn't been before so will be planning stuff that hopefully he will like.
Enjoy your weekend
