London by Night

St.Paul Cathedral

Southbank

Chinatown

SOHO

Looking over my photos I don´t seem to have taken that many, but seeing London at night was really awesome. Even with my camera the photos turned out to be ok, it was great seeing all the amazing sights!

The first evening we wondered around the Southbank, seeing the National Theatre, Oxo Building, the Shard, St Paul`s Cathedral and in the distance the financial district. I was quite excited about seeing these buildings and felt a bit like child.

On Friday evening we wondered around Chinatown and Soho which was as you can imagine very busy. We had dinner in a really great French restaurant called Cote, earlier that evening I had seen Tom Hiddleston and Sienna Miller at the premiere of their movie High-Rise in Leicester Square.

The other evenings we stayed near to our hotel which was in the area of Farringdon, it had lots of great bars and restaurants. Such a great city would be great to go again but not sure when I will be able to visit again.

This Weekend`s Activities

Delicious apples from the maze

And more!

Very busy place!

Towards the end of the afternoon!

This weekend was a busy one certainly for Alessio! He has started again football training and on Saturday we had his first match and scored a goal too! I have no photos as I did not go with him but he has really cool football shoes!

Afterwards we headed into Zurich to see the new Pixar movie called Inside Out which we both really enjoyed. I am always amazed how many adults without kids go to these movies, before I had Alessio I would not go to this type of movie.

Sunday we headed to Juncker farm which is typically extremely busy at this time of year. As it is the pumpkin season and there are usually 7 or 8 sculptures made out of different types of pumpkins. This year the theme is circus. Alessio spent the whole time on the haystack which is much smaller than last year, he managed to befriends some kids and had a whale of a time. We also did the apple maze this time, which consists of answering 9 questions correctly and getting to the end of the maze, Alessio really liked this.

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Lausanne Signs

A few weeks ago Alessio and I went to Lausanne for the day, we wondered around the town and went down to the Lake side. Up by the cathedral we walked around much to the delight of Alessio and it was there that I saw these decorative signs. We also visited the Olympic museum which we found very interesting, definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Bunnies and some more bunnies!

What is going on here?

Anything interesting here??

Wow!!!!

Really that is all you have got!!

One up, one down!

Can I play mum?

I want this! No I want this!!

It´s hard to believe that we are about to welcome in October, this month as just passed super fast. My parents were here at the beginning of the month, then we had the birthday shenanigans for Alessio which went on for two weeks. This week I have been planning for our trip to London next week, really looking forward to that and of course to see my parents again.

Time to stop waffling on and talk about these adorable bunnies which we saw last Thursday when we visited the Island of Ufenau. We had a great time and before we returned back to the day care we visited the bunnies. When we got there they were all lazying about, but suddenly they decided we were worth a bit of an investigation. Of my Lord, the kids were all naming them and saying just how cute they were and I have to agree with that comment.

The lady who works in the restaurant came out and gave the kids lots of leaves and the bunnies went a bit wild. She told us that the mother has 9 little ones and that´s her in the first photo sitting in the log.

Costal trip and Dolphin Spotting!

During the summer holiday we had in Portugal, we went on a boat trip. This trip was looking at the rock formations along the coastline and then hopefully seeing dolphins.

The sea was rather choppy so we had to hold, the speed boat certainly jumped around on the sea and at one point we had completely and unexpectedly soaked!

The rock formations were all really amazing and spectacular, lots of lovely secret beaches. Once we finished the coastline part of the trip we headed off to see the dolphins. We were searching and searching and for a while it looked like we might not see them. Then suddenly the boat took off like a bat out of hell, to another area and there they were! Dolphins all around, jumping out of the water and traveling in groups. Sadly the photos do not do it justice as it was really hard to take photos. It was so great to have seen them and now we had to return back to shore. Since we took a bit longer to see the dolphins it meant we were late for the next boat trip so the driver went on full gas and we were just continuously soaked all the way back. I have never been completely soaked like right down to my underwear. The whole group was just laughing so much it was complete shock, when we got off the boat, we headed to the nearest bar for drinks!

It was a great trip and would recommend it, there are many companies doing this tour. Maybe take a change of clothing though!!
