This is about my life in Zurich, all the places I visit, what I get up to with my son and anything I think is good to blog about.

Planting Tulips
Back in September after a trip to Island Mainu to see the fanastic gardens, Alessio was inspired to plant some bulbs. So we all went to buy the pots, earth and any other stuff we would need. We had bought the bulbs at the gardens and once we had all the necessary equipment Alessio and my father plants two pots worth.
I was a bit skeptical that anything would flower, he checked all through winter and the beginning of spring waiting for something to show. And lo and behold finally we got some shoots coming through and we were both really happy. Alessio was quite proud and the flowers were really lovely to see! Now they are dying, but maybe some more will pop up or not!
I guess we will plant more this September, so be prepared Dad!

This weekend!
This weekend was definitely much more busier than last weekend, first off Alessio had a football match on Saturday morning. His team lost 5 to 1 sadly, afterwards we returned home and a friend came to play for the rest of the day. On a whim I decided to make rhubarb crumble and much to my surprise Alessio really liked it!
On Sunday we went to Schaffhausen to visit my in laws, I had not seen my two nephews since last September so it was time to visit! We went out for a walk and all the kids fed the goats who were all really hungry!
There is nothing planned for this week, but looking forward to go for afternoon tea next Saturday with friends!

Maritime Museum Barcelona
During our stay in Barcelona in January we visited the Maritime Museum, which is situated at the end of Las Ramblas. It is housed in the former shipyard building, which is quite impressive to see. There are quite a few ships and boats to see and one of the highlights is a replica of a 60m long royal galley of the Admirals of the Juan de Austria from the Battle of Lepanto 7 October 1571.
Part of the museum was getting new exhibitions while we were there, there is a restaurant and a possibly to sit outside which we did enjoying the sunshine. According to their website it is closed on Mondays but we were there on a Monday, maybe that has changed so best to check there site. Kids are free which is also a bonus!
Since it is right across from the marina you can then go on a boat trip or just check out the boats. We wondered around the marina afterwards. This is just one of the many things to do and see with kids in Barcelona, we both found it quite interesting so worth a visit!

Spring is coming!
Technically spring started today but it did not feel like it unlike last week which was very spring like indeed. In fact most of these photos were taken last week so you can see it was just a lovely spring week!
Have a lovely week!
